Safeguarding

Safeguarding

Designed around parent-led contact and safer grassroots football.

PitchMatch is for parents, guardians, clubs and teams — not direct child use. The platform is designed to minimise public child data and keep introductions controlled.

Key safeguarding principles

  • Parent or guardian registration only
  • No public child names or contact details
  • Verified team and coach details before introductions
  • Parents choose whether to contact a team

Parents

Only a parent or guardian should submit or manage a player advert. Do not include a child’s school, full home address, private email or direct mobile number in public notes.

Teams

Teams should register accurate coach, welfare and club information. Any misleading or incomplete safeguarding information may result in rejection or removal.

Safeguarding concerns

If you are concerned about a listing, team, coach or interaction connected with PitchMatch, stop contact and report the concern through the PitchMatch Contact page. Where there is an immediate risk to a child, contact the appropriate emergency or safeguarding authority directly.
