1. About PitchMatch
PitchMatch provides a platform for parents or guardians looking for grassroots football opportunities and for teams looking for players. PitchMatch is an introduction and advertising service; it is not a football club, league, governing body, agent or employment service.
2. Parent and guardian use
Player adverts must be submitted and managed by a parent or guardian. Information submitted must be accurate and appropriate. Public notes must not contain unnecessary identifying information about a child, including their full name, school, exact address, personal email or personal telephone number.
3. Team registration and verification
Teams must provide genuine and current information about the team, age group, coach, parent club, league, affiliation and welfare contacts. PitchMatch may approve, reject, suspend or remove a team where information cannot be verified or where safeguarding or platform concerns arise.
4. Player vacancies and adverts
Approved team vacancies and anonymous player adverts remain live for 30 days from publication. They are automatically removed after that period. A fresh submission may be made if the opportunity is still current.
5. Team interest in a player
When a verified team expresses interest in an anonymous player profile, PitchMatch may provide the parent or guardian with the team's verified details and contact information. The parent decides whether to make contact. PitchMatch does not automatically disclose the parent's or player's private contact details to the team.
6. Accuracy and suitability
Users are responsible for checking whether any team, coach, vacancy, player opportunity or arrangement is suitable for them. Verification by PitchMatch confirms that specified information has been reviewed; it is not a guarantee of quality, safety, suitability, availability or future conduct.
7. Safeguarding
Users must act appropriately and in accordance with applicable safeguarding requirements. Any concern involving a child should be reported through the appropriate club, league, county FA, safeguarding or emergency channels as relevant. PitchMatch may remove content or suspend access where safeguarding concerns are raised.
8. Prohibited use
You must not use PitchMatch to harass users, collect personal information for unrelated purposes, impersonate another person or organisation, submit false information, advertise an illegitimate opportunity, or attempt to bypass PitchMatch's privacy and safeguarding controls.
9. Removal and moderation
PitchMatch may edit, reject, unpublish or remove content that is inaccurate, expired, inappropriate, misleading, unsafe or inconsistent with these terms. PitchMatch may also contact a user to request clarification or updated verification information.
10. No guarantee
PitchMatch cannot guarantee that a player will find a team, that a team will find a player, that a trial will be offered, or that an introduction will result in registration with a club. Football decisions remain between the parent or guardian and the relevant team or club.
11. External websites and advertisements
PitchMatch may display clearly identified advertisements or links to external websites. External businesses and websites operate independently from PitchMatch, and users should review their own terms, privacy information and services before engaging with them.
12. Changes to these terms
PitchMatch may update these terms as the platform develops, where its services change or where clarification is required. The latest version will be published on this page.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the PitchMatch Contact page or to admin@pitchmatch.co.uk.
